A possible Olympic Games medal beckons for New Zealand rowers Hannah Osborne and Brooke Donoghue in the double sculls

Following an impressive showing in their first heat, the pair are through to the final after coming second in their semi at Tokyo's Sea Forrest Waterway.

Osborne says it's validation of their medal credentials.

Emma Twigg's through to the semifinals in the women's single sculls after a comfortable victory in the quarterfinals.

Men's single sculler Jordan Parry and double sculls duo Jack Lopas and Chris Harris, along with the women's quadruple sculls have all been eliminated from medal contention.
