Police are hunting a 31-year-old man believed to be responsible for a shooting outside a Palmerston North bar

Police are hunting a 31-year-old man believed to be responsible for a shooting outside a Palmerston North bar

A person was injured after the shooting, following an altercation on Rangitikei Street last Tuesday.

Two people have been arrested after taking an axe to the door of the bar, weeks before.

Police have confirmed the shooting is NOT linked to other recent shootings in the area.

A gun was fired on Moheke Avenue on August 2 and on Clyde Crescent on August 3 -- and a police car was shot at on August 9 and on August 11 - leading to the arrests of a woman and three men.
