Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, isn't "really in touch" with her 'Suits' co-stars anymore

The 43-year-old former actress - who played Rachel Zane in the legal drama from 2011 to 2018 - doesn't have a lot of contact with the people she worked with on the programme but she did message Patrick J. Adams to enthuse about his and Sarah Rafferty's 'Suits' rewatch podcast, 'Sidebar', and offered to help if she could

Replying to fans on Reddit, Patrick wrote of Meghan: "We are not really in touch. She leads a very different life now for obvious and important reasons.

"[But] upon hearing about the podcast, I got a lovely text, saying how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in anyway.

"It is so lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart.(sic)"

Like Meghan, the 43-year-old actor left his role as Mike Ross after season seven in 2018 but Patrick - who was among the guests when his old friend married Prince Harry that same year - still has fond memories of making the show.

He told another fan: "I care deeply about this job [and] this part and [worked] long and hard to make the best version of it.

"So, to hear that it's connected with so many people is a big reason why I wanted to go back and watch it all.

"I wanna honour the show in a different way than I did when I was shooting it, if that makes sense."

Patrick previously admitted he'd love to make a 'Suits' spin-off with Meghan - who quit acting following her marriage - in response to the show's resurgence on streaming platforms.

Speaking to E! News in January, Patrick said of the idea of a 'Suits' spin-off: "I think Meghan is a fantastic actress. We'd be lucky to have her back in the industry.

"Let's go, I'd do it. I'm ready. Mike and Rachel in Seattle."

Patrick admitted he is "astounded" by 'Suits' "second life" but couldn't be happier.

He said: "I'm totally astounded it's found a second life.

"I feel honoured. When you walk away from a show, you think that's it and you're going to move on to something else and just to know that a whole new generation of people are finding it and loving it-loving it almost more than they loved it the first time around, it's incredible."
