The All Whites have netted eight goals in back-to-back internationals, demolishing Samoa 8-nil in their final World Cup qualifying group match in Auckland

The All Whites have netted eight goals in back-to-back internationals, demolishing Samoa 8-nil in their final World Cup qualifying group match in Auckland

A hat-trick to Chris Wood spearheaded the New Zealand victory, which sets up a semifinal against Fiji next March.

Coach Darren Bazeley says scoreline aside, it wasn't an easy win.

The winner of the New Zealand-Fiji semifinal will advance to meet either Tahiti or New Caledonia for a spot at the expanded 2026 World Cup.

The beaten finalist will have another chance of qualification via an intercontinental playoff.
