    Kmart's New Zealand operation is approaching the 1-billion-dollar turnover mark, as it plans to open its largest NZ store yet


    Business Desk reports annual earnings lodged with the Companies Office show Kmart NZ Holdings declared just shy of one-billion-dollars total revenue in the year to June 30.

    In September, the company announced it would open in Westgate on Auckland city's western edge in 2026.

    It will have 28 stores here when it opens -- doubling in the past decade.
