A man's been arrested after a Facebook Marketplace car sale quickly escalated

A man's been arrested after a Facebook Marketplace car sale quickly escalated

Two men met at a petrol station in Auckland's Takanini about nine last night.

After a disagreement over the price, the buyer allegedly showed the seller what was believed to be a firearm - before finishing the deal and leaving in the vehicle.

The seller quickly made a Police report, and a 35-year-old man was arrested not long after.

He's been charged with presenting an object like a firearm and possessing cannabis for supply.

The vehicle has been returned to the registered owner.
