Zachary Levi has insisted his support for Donald Trump hasn't "compromised" his career
The 'Shazam!' actor appeared at a Republican rally in Michigan in September when he backed controversial former president to return to the White House, and though his endorsement attracted criticism, the 44-year-old star doesn't think it has had an impact on his professional life, though he admitted in the long-term, that could change

Asked if he had been cancelled for his voting preferences, he told Bill Maher on the 'Club Random' podcast: "No. For coming out and voting for Trump? I mean, listen, I have yet to see what the ultimate effects of all that are gonna be.
"I already had multiple jobs that I was in the process of shooting or that I have yet to shoot, and none of those have been compromised.
"None of my producers or any of the studios behind those films or projects have called and said, 'Hey listen this is a line too far, and we can't have you associated with the project anymore.'
"We're all still full steam ahead on those. How it ultimately plays out in the future? I don't know."
Zachary's comments come after actress Laura Benanti admitted she feels "nauseous" at the idea of the former 'Chuck' star getting even more work after attracting a new fanbase with his support for the president elect.
She said on 'That's A Gay A** Podcast': "Everyone's like, 'It's career suicide.' But it's not career suicide because Christian, faith-based TV and film is huge.
"He's going to be a huge f****** star in that realm. He's going to make more money than he ever has. It makes me nauseous, but also a little bit, like, 'I told you, motherf*****.'"
The 'Chuck' actor previously admitted his team had warned him against publicly supporting the former 'Apprentice' star.
Speaking on 'The Megyn Kelly Show' on SiriusXM, he said: "I like to think things through... I talked to my team and said I'd been invited to do this thing, it will essentially be an endorsement of Donald Trump...
"And to their credit, all of them said, 'We will support you in whatever you feel like you need to do. We're not going to tell you not to. We'll tell you that it might make this more difficult for us and for you. So, you know, weigh that as you need to. But we will support you as a human being', because they know me and they know my heart, and they know that I care."
