Scheana Shay once gifted a snowboard helmet to Ariana Madix

The 39-year-old reality TV star has revealed that Scheana, her showbiz pal, is responsible for gifting her one of her most memorable, and unusual, Christmas presents ever

Speaking to PEOPLE, Ariana shared: "Helmets are important. Everyone should be wearing helmets, whether they're snowboarding, skiing, riding horses, riding motorcycles."

Although the gift was unusual, Ariana really appreciated Scheana's efforts, acknowledging that she has a "small head".

The former 'Vanderpump Rules' star - who is now the permanent host of 'Love Island USA' - said: "I have a small head, so sometimes when you go get rentals for things, it's hard. I have to try on kid-size helmets."

By contrast, Ariana admits that she's not very good at gift giving.

The reality TV star explained: "I am not so good at it.

"I try and I get really lofty big ideas about gifts, and then I overthink and then if one part of it doesn't work out I get really stressed. Then the day is coming up and I end up just freaking out and getting something that's not quite what I wanted."

Meanwhile, Ariana has encouraged the new cast of 'Vanderpump Rules' to "forge their own path".

Lisa Vanderpump recently insisted that the all-new cast aren't trying to compete with the original stars of the show, and Ariana urged the new cast members to "do their own thing".

Reacting to Lisa's comments, Ariana told Us Weekly: "That's great. I completely understand [why] and I also think that it's encouraging for new cast members to hear that. Because I think that it will encourage them to forge their own path and do their own thing."
