At least 15 of the men involved in the Gisele Pelicot rape and assault trial have appealed their convictions

At least 15 of the men involved in the Gisele Pelicot rape and assault trial have appealed their convictions

The abuse spanned over nearly a decade - Pelicot's ex-husband Dominique drugged his then-wife, raping her and inviting dozens of other men to take part in the abuse.

He was found guilty earlier this month, and jailed for 20 years.

All of the other 50 men were found guilty on at least one charge, but their jail terms are less than what prosecutors wanted.

The group have until Monday to lodge an appeal, which leads to a hearing that will go over the evidence again.
