A North Canterbury family has had twin burglaries

A North Canterbury family has had twin burglaries

Thieves stole 12 firearms which were in a gun safe alongside other valuables on Boxing Day.

The family moved to a safe house because they were concerned about the weapons being out there.

From the second location the family's much loved bulldog was stolen three days later.

Police say they have no lines of inquiry on the bulldog but are continuing to investigate the firearms theft.
