    A youth has died after falling off a cliff on Hahei Beach, while another has been rescued

    A youth has died after falling off a cliff on Hahei Beach, while another has been rescued


    Emergency services were called to the Coromandel beach around 8 last night.

    The person was found at the bottom of the cliff face in a critical condition, but later died at the scene.

    A second youth was rescued uninjured, after being trapped on the cliff.

    The death has been referred to the Coroner.
