The new Public Service Minister's promising cost-efficiencies will continue under her leadership

The new Public Service Minister's promising cost-efficiencies will continue under her leadership

Judith Collins has taken over the Public Service role from Nicola Willis, who keeps Finance and Social Investment - and picks up the Economic Growth portfolio.

She says her goal will be to continue the work Willis has started - to ensure public services are focused on better and more timely results.

She says service will be put in a cost efficient way that respects taxpayers' money.

Thousands of jobs have been cut in the public sector, since the Government's savings directive.
