Kiwis are shopping just as frequently - but spending less each time

Kiwis are shopping just as frequently - but spending less each time

Stats NZ released new figures on electronic card spending.

It shows total card spending last month was down one-percent annually - with about the same number of transactions.

Overall spending last year was down 2.2 percent year on year.

Worldline spending shows Boxing Day retail spending increased at core retailers - but Briscoes and Rebel Sport reported lower sales than expected.
