Defender Finn Surman has been left out of the All Whites squad for the final Oceania qualifiers for a spot at next year's Football World Cup

Defender Finn Surman has been left out of the All Whites squad for the final Oceania qualifiers for a spot at next year's Football World Cup

Surman has been recently given a starting spot with Major League Soccer side the Portland Timbers and it's been decided to instead prioritise his development there.

His spot has been claimed by Auckland FC forward Jesse Randall.

That's the only change coach Darren Bazeley has made from the squad that took back to back wins in their November games against Vanuatu and Samoa.

The All Whites face Fiji Friday week in Wellington in the semi-finals, and the final is on Monday March 24 if they qualify at Eden Park.
