Hilaria Baldwin fought back tears as she recalled her heartbreak over losing a baby four months into her pregnancy

The 41-year-old yoga instructor opened up about the painful experience during an episode of her reality show 'The Baldwins' revealing she had been expecting a child with her husband Alec Baldwin after undergoing IVF treatment only to discover late in her pregnancy that the baby hadn't survived

Hilaria said: "So, I had a miscarriage ... [I] came out [publicly], had conversations that were hard to have for me. It's a very hard thing to go through.

"I tried IVF and everything seemed to be going really well ... I lost the baby between four and five months ... [The doctors] don't know why she died."

She added: "It was hard. I had an attachment, you know. I was excited. When you have a later miscarriage, loss, whatever word you want to use, your body has to essentially have the baby ...

"It is definitely a physically and emotionally hard experience."

Hilaria and Alec wed in 2012 and they became parents to Carmen, 11, Rafael, nine, Leonardo, eight, and Romeo, six, before starting IVF.

The couple's son Eduardo was born in September 2020 and their daughter Lucia via surrogate just five months later while their seventh child, a little girl named Ilaria, followed in September 2022.

Alec is also dad to daughter Ireland, 29, from his marriage to actress Kim Basinger.

The '30 Rock' star previously admitted he didn't plan on having such a big family and wishes he didn't have to work so he could stay at home and care for them all.

Speaking to Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera, Alec said: "I met my wife Hilaria when I was 53, in 2001, shortly before my birthday.

"We both love children and wanted to build a family together. We didn't plan to have seven kids, but it happened, and I wouldn't change a thing. I wish I didn't have to work and could stay home with my children."

King Charles has been praised for his "modern vision" for royal buildings.

The 76-year-old monarch is set to open the doors of St. James Palace for guided tours for the first time, and his former butler Grant Harrold - who worked at Highgrove for the then-Prince of Wales between 2004 and 2011 - thinks it will be a "great experience" for tourists because there are so many "interesting" things to see there.

Speaking on behalf of JeffBet, Grant said: "For any royal enthusiasts, it's a very exciting prospect, and equally of the East Wing at Buckingham Palace, and Balmoral last year, the fact they've opened both of these is also a big thing...

"It's got one of the oldest surviving Tudor fireplaces which has got Anne Boleyn's initials in which is unusual. That's one of the major features visitors might get to see.

"You've also got the throne room and you'll get to see where the King had his privy council, where the proclamation was done. It'll be an interesting experience.

"It just shows the King is taking on a more modern vision for homes that were once very, very private. Now, they want to have people walk through the doors many monarchs, presidents and celebrities have.

"It's a great experience and one the public are sure to enjoy."

Royal fans are most likely to recognise the "stunning" rooms from when Prince William and then-Kate Middleton, who is now known as Catherine, Princess of Wales, announced their engagement.

Grant said: "It's really interesting the King is opening up St James' Palace. Last year it was Balmoral and St James' is an equally private place.

"You only get to see it if you're invited to royal events. It's where a lot of them take place, such as farewell parties, Christmas parties.

"The rooms are stunning, people will recognise them from the famous engagement photos of William and Kate."
