Signs the job market could be starting to level

Signs the job market could be starting to level

New Seek NZ Employment data shows January's notable increase in job ads, fell by two percent in February with no change quarter on quarter.

National Sales Manager Dave Swift says after a two year decline and flat ad volumes over the last eight months - drops in worker demand should be behind us - meaning more job market stability.

He says they've noted an on-site increase in regions such as Canterbury and Otago, which are showing interesting growth.

However, Swift says the market is still challenging for job seekers.
