A cleaning company's been fined in court after an employee fell six metres from a roof in Wellington

Joshua Bowles had only been on the job for two months, and was yet to receive safety training on harness use, when the accident happened.

The 37-year-old father was found lying face down on the ground, and spent the next six months in hospital recovering from a traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures.

Prowash Wellington has been fined more than 120-thousand dollars in the Wellington District Court, and sharply criticised for having no health and safety policies.
