Liam Lawson believes the new team entering Formula One next year would have been just as well off with a young driver or two

Cadillac have opted for 36-year-old Finn Valtteri Bottas and 35-year-old Mexican Sergio Perez to pilot their cars in the team's maiden season.

Lawson says there are young drivers who have been strong current or past performers in F2 who deserve their shot in F1.

The F1 season resumes this weekend with the Dutch Grand Prix - with opening practice set for 10.30 tonight.
