Concerns the Government's new round the clock digital health service is leading to people not receiving adequate care

Concerns the Government's new round the clock digital health service is leading to people not receiving adequate care

More than 21-thousand consultations have been delivered through the online scheme, which launched in July.

Health Minister Simeon Brown says it's used most often when GP appointments aren't avaliable, and provided treatment for more than 80 percent of patients without an in-person follow-up.

But General Practice Association Chair Angus Chambers says it's making problems worse.

He says there's well recognised issues overseas, where people miss out on a key operating issue, like examination.
