Sydney Sweeney has "grown up" with the cast and crew of Euphoria

The 28-year-old actress has reprised the role of Cassie Howard for season three of the hit TV show, and Sydney has likened returning to set to "going home to family"

The blonde beauty told Variety: "I has been awhile. I think it's three years? Three years? But, it's mostly the same crew, so it feels like I'm going home to family.

"I've grown up with them since I was 20 - I was 20 when I did the pilot. So being able to see a lot of the same people, it feels very comforting. I love Cassie, too."

The makers of the show are trying to keep plot details under wraps, and Sydney admits that she's even in the dark about all aspects of season three of Euphoria.

She said: "I know bits and pieces of different storylines as they interact with mine."

Sydney "can't disclose" what the long-term future is for the show. However, she would love to continue playing Cassie for many years.

The actress shared: "I think that if there [are] more stories to tell within our characters' world, then of course, I love Cassie."

Sydney has enjoyed a meteoric rise over recent years - but she previously admitted that she's still "navigating" fame.

The Hollywood star told ES Magazine in 2023: "I think I'm still navigating it on a daily basis because I want to be as authentic and genuinely open to the public and my fans as possible. And I think I am.

"I talk a lot, I'm very open and it'll probably be to my detriment, but I don't know how people can hide behind an image.

"At the same time, I don't owe people answers."

Sydney explained that she still wants to have her "own peace and private life".

She said: "I'm a very private person when it comes to my family and relationships. I want people to know who I am as an individual but also, I feel that I should still be allowed to have my own peace and private life as well.

"It's a weird balance, I'm definitely still figuring it out."
