A person has died following a hit and run in West Auckland overnight

A person has died following a hit and run in West Auckland overnight

Emergency services say they were called to the intersection of Tango Place and Larnoch Road just before 3 this morning - where a person was found injured on the road.

Police say despite the best of efforts from emergency services, the person died at the scene.

They say cordons are now in place as they conduct a scene investigation.

Police want to hear from anyone who has any information, including those with CCTV or dashcam footage in the Larnoch Road area between 2 and 3am.
