    ???1;Consultation on the future of Auckland's AF Thomas Park closes today


    The council is considering options to prevent the area from flooding.

    Auckland Council's put forward a proposal to build a wetland area to provide flood relief for the North Shore which would remove some of the Takapuna Golf course.

    Golf Warehouse has proposed a 20 million dollar private development which would combine wetlands with remaining space for golf courses, mini golf, and a new stadium.

    The Kaipatiki Local Board will make the final decision in early 2026.
