Hamilton City Council's putting 1.7-million dollars into future zoo expansion

It's bought a 40-thousand-square metre property including a house and undeveloped grassed area, which it'll rent for now.

Over time, it'll become part of Te Kaaroro nature Precinct, and a rhino management facility.

Council Chief Executive, Lance Vervoort , says this'll save close on a million dollars in efficiencies.
