    It's electrifying.....- Auckland buses in the CBD are entering a new circuit


    After trialling two electric buses, NZ Bus and Auckland Transport are launching 12 new electric buses for the CityLINK route, starting Monday.

    The service carries 1.6 million passengers per year and loops around Queen Street and Wynyard Quarter.

    The move brings th total number of electric buses in Auckland to 33.

    Mayor Phill Goff says electrifying the city's fleet will stop around 93 tonnes of carbon dioxide entering the atmosphere every year.
