The Law Society says it's becoming more common for people to criticise judges -- and it's a problem

The Law Society says it's becoming more common for people to criticise judges -- and it's a problem

Frazer Barton says there's a trend of politicians, and members of the public, accusing them of being activists.

In January Act Leader David Seymour said activist judges and bureaucrats had twisted the meaning of our founding document -- and Shane Jones has also criticised the Waitangi Tribunal.

Barton says if Parliament doesn't like judges' decisions it can change the laws.

He says normally people debate the direction the law is going down, rather than saying the judge themselves is an activist and we shouldn't have activist judges.
