Praise for Police after a crackdown on boy racers in Wellington this weekend

Praise for Police after a crackdown on boy racers in Wellington this weekend

It's part of a continued effort to break up boy racer groups following last month's unruly meet in Levin, saw bottles and stones thrown at police.

Officers issued 70 fines, and seized a number of vehicles across Porirua and the Hutt Valley on Saturday night.

Hutt South MP Chris Bishop is thanking officers for their sustained efforts.

He says it's a positive step that's being welcomed by people in the community.
