    A Comanchero gang associate's up for serious charges after firearms were found when he fled police last night


    A vehicle linked to a person of interest took off after being spotted on Auckland's Ellerslie-Panmure Highway about 1am.

    It stopped in Point Chevalier and a woman got out, and was allegedly handed a bag - with two firearms and ammunition inside.

    The car continued to Saint Johns and lost control after being spiked, where the driver was arrested.

    A 30-year-old man will appear in court today -- and a 29-year-old woman who had unrelated warrants for arrest.
