    Search and rescue personnel are still looking for the man missing in the Manawatu River


    He'd been walking his dog near Ahimate Park when he disappeared into the river about 1.30 yesterday afternoon.

    The Police National Dive Squad is now on scene, assessing conditions and making preliminary enquiries.

    The search will continue until nightfall.
