Chappell Roan has had a "scary and spiritual and confusing" time this past year

The 26-year-old singer took to social media just days ahead of finding out whether she has won a Grammy for her hit single 'Good Luck, Babe!' or her chart-topping album 'The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess', where she reflected on her immense success

On Wednesday (29.01.25), she wrote on Instagram: "Hey girls I just woke up. Good morning booboos. It's Grammy week. I am very emo. My heart feels warm and fuzzy with all the support I have been given this past year. I hope you can understand that this has been incredible and scary and spiritual and confusing. I've been crying tears of joy and grief and feeling loved and lonely and free. Ultimately, I am grateful for every one of you who gave my music a little spin and showed your a** up to shows and festivals."

The 'Pink Pony Club' hitmaker added that she is feeling good about the performance she has prepared for the award ceremony and admitted that she always feels a certain "love" towards her fans whenever she is up on stage.

She added: "Because yall are rockstars I feel like a rockstars :) Damn I am cheesy lowkey. Whatever anyway; I love the performance we're preparing for you all . And girl no matter what, just know when I'm up on stage, all I'm really feeling in my heart is love to the queer community especially those in places where it is unsafe to be yourself. I see you 3 tootles xox"

Amid her whirlwind year, Chappell - whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz - has suffered from severe depression due to the pressures of fame and has been praised for setting boundaries with her fans after some "weird" behaviour left her feeling "unsafe".

She wrote on Instagram last year: "I want to love my life, be outside, giggle with my friends, go to the movie theater, feel safe, and do all the things every single person deserves to do.

"Please stop touching me. Please stop being weird to my family and friends. Please stop assuming things about me. There is always more to the story. l am scared and tired.

"And please-don't call me Kayleigh. I feel more love than I ever have in my life. I feel the most unsafe I have ever felt in my life.

"There is a part of myself that I save just for my project and all of you. There is a part of myself that is just for me, and I don't want that taken away from me. (sic)"
