    Several properties have been protected from a large scrub fire in Northland


    Several crews, including three helicopters, were called to the two hectare blaze - the beachside settlement of Ngunguru just after 3.30pm.

    Fire and Emergency says the grass and scrub fire is roughly 60 percent contained.
