Calls from New Zealand Football to re-ignite the Soccer Ashes rivalry with Australia in the lead-up to next year's World Cup

Calls from New Zealand Football to re-ignite the Soccer Ashes rivalry with Australia in the lead-up to next year's World Cup

The All Whites qualified for the global showpiece after beating New Caledonia in the Oceania qualifying final at Eden Park.

New Zealand Football boss Andrew Pragnall told AAP he backs the Ashes renewal, with home-and-away fixtures the ideal option.

The trans-Tasman rivals last met in a one-off match in London in October 2023, with Australia coming away 2-nil victors.
