A spate of vandalism in Auckland's Parnell

A spate of vandalism in Auckland's Parnell

Up to 12 historic graves have been damaged, and public toilets, sinks and taps stolen - in Judges Bay.

A police report was filed just before 5pm yesterday, about headstones pushed over and broken outside the 168-year-old St Stephen's Chapel.

Council Area Operations Manager, Martin Wong, says the destruction is disgraceful.

He says the extensive damage to council-owned toilets occurred over the weekend, and it's not clear if the two are linked.
