Pedro Pascal's sister Lux "empowers" him during existential crises about his age

The 50-year-old star has opened up on the bond he shares with his 33-year-old sister - who is also an actress - to help him "keep going" when he's feeling any self doubt

During an interview with her for the October 2025 issue of Elle magazine, Pedro said: "Something different every day.

"Especially in a period where I am facing existential issues around age, you're the first person to empower me and to give me confidence, to the point where your lack of patience for it is what gives me confidence.

"Because you're just like, 'Enough is enough. You're the s***,' and you're the person I believe the most, so that keeps me going."

Meanwhile, Lux admitted her Hollywood star sibling supported her when she sobbed over the phone.

She said: "For me, I just remember this one moment. I don't want to give too much context about it, but I just called you crying and you were just saying no, shaking your head.

"Because I was telling you about what was making me cry, but you were just like, 'Just be yourself. People will see it eventually. Just be yourself.'

"And I was just like, 'Yes, he's right.' "

The Last of Us star previously opened up on feeling "parental" towards both Lux and his younger brother Nicolas after their mother Veronica Pascal took her own life in February 1999.

He was 24 at the time, while Lux was just seven years old.

He told Esquire magazine: "They were very young kids, so much younger than me and my older sister, so even if they hadn't lost a parent, we would still feel parental toward them.

"And I didn't naively think I could fill a space like that, but I just always wanted to be like, I'm here."

However, the Fantastic Four: First Steps actor insisted not only does the "protective side" go both ways, but he "needs" his sibling more than she needs him.

He added: "She is and has always been one of the most powerful people and personalities I've ever known. My protective side is lethal, but I need her more than she needs me."
