The Black Ferns have been bundled out of the women's Rugby World Cup following a 34-19 loss to Canada in their semi-final in Bristol

The Black Ferns have been bundled out of the women's Rugby World Cup following a 34-19 loss to Canada in their semi-final in Bristol

Canada stunned the defending champions with four first-half tries to lead 24-7 at the break.

New Zealand were hindered by a lop-sided penalty count and struggled to make a lasting mark on the game despite scoring two consolation tries in the second half.

Black Ferns captain Kennedy Tukuafu says Canada were impressive.

It's the first time New Zealand have been beaten in a knockout game since 1991.
