LaKeith Stanfield has been appointed an ambassador for Dior

The 34-year-old actor-and-musician - who was the first to wear the fashion house's floral-embroidered blue denim 'revolution' coat, matching waistcoat and light blue boot-cut jeans at the British Fashion Awards in December - has long been a fan of the brand and creative director Jonathan Anderson is delighted to have him on board.

He told WWD in a statement: "LaKeith has an energy that feels both spontaneous and composed. He's an actor's actor, with a remarkable range, bringing something unexpected and magical to every role. I can't wait to work together."

The Judas and the Black Messiah actor hailed the partnership "humbling".

He said in his own statement: "To collaborate with Jonathan Anderson's astute vision, within a house whose history reads like art itself, where detail becomes design and design becomes story, is humbling and inspiring."

LaKeith is the second star to be unveilled as a Dior man ambassador this month, following the appointment of Paul Kircher.

The 24-year-old actor also appears in a new men and women's advertising campaign for the fashion house, showcasing the designer's first collection for both sexes.

Jonathan told WWD: "I love these images of Paul - they perfectly capture the Dior I've been dreaming toward: elegant yet youthful, infused with a fresh sense of modernity.

"He's an incredible young talent who has an innate sense of style and charm and who, from our very first meeting, I knew was the perfect representation of the Dior man today."

As well as Paul, the advertising campaign features actress Greta Lee, footballer Kylian Mbappé, actor-and-director Louis Garrel, and models Sunday Rose, Laura Kaiser, and Saar Mansvelt Beck.

The brand said in a statement about the campaign: "The Dior clique appears to embrace a liberated sense of style, willing to play with clothing and accessories.

"Style is how these individuals conduct themselves: the intuitive sense they have when their appearance feels right, and how they dress up each day to become a new character."
