Crown prosecutors have begun playing Tingjun Cao's six-hour police interview, after a disruptive morning at his murder trial

Crown prosecutors have begun playing Tingjun Cao's six-hour police interview, after a disruptive morning at his murder trial

The jury was asked to step out three times today, as Cao grew agitated by objections to his cross-examination.

He's defending himself against the accusation he killed Christchurch realtor Yanfei Bao , in July last year.

He was stopped by Police at the airport, just days after Bao disappeared - having met Cao at a property for sale.

His police interview has been played, with translations.

In it, he said he didn't know Bao well, and he was trying to leave the country suddenly - because he couldn't find a job.
