Joanna Page has claimed Johnny Depp once kissed her

The 48-year-old actress - who is known for her roles in Gavin and Stacey and holiday rom-com classic Love Actually - played sex worker Ann Crook in the 2001 thriller From Hell alongside the Hollywood heartthrob's Inspector Frederick Abberline.

And while on location in Prague, she has alleged the 62-year-old actor made a pass at her, but she couldn't kiss him back.

She recounted in an interview with The Sunday Telegraph: "In 1999, I played a prostitute in From Hell, starring Johnny Depp. I don’t go for pretty boys but, Jesus Christ, he was exquisite. One evening on location in Prague, after all going out for a meal, Johnny offered Lesley Sharp and me a lift back to our hotel. When we got out to say goodbye, Johnny slid his arms around my waist, held on to me and kissed me slowly on one side of my mouth, then the other. Afterwards, I ran upstairs, rang my mother and went, 'Oh my God, Johnny Depp’s just kissed me!' I’ve never been good at being sexy or coming onto people, so could never have properly kissed him back. He was too beautiful!"

Elsewhere, Joanna revealed the career advice her Love Actually co-star Billy Nighy, 75, gave her that she disagreed with.

She said: "Bill Nighy once told me, 'Darling, whatever you do, never ever reveal your age to them because as soon as they know how old you are, they can just pigeonhole you and your time clock is counting down.' That just went out the window straight away because I’m so open and honest. I was like, 'This is me; they’re going to just have to take me as I am.' When I was in From Hell with Heather Graham, my character had a shaved head and scars because I’d just had a lobotomy. I looked awful, and Heather said to me, 'Oh my god, I can’t believe you’ve let them do that to you.' I just thought that was ridiculous, I would never take that advice. I’m here to play a part, not win a beauty pageant."
