Victoria Beckham thanked her family for "always believing in my vision" as she received a prestigious French arts honour

The 51-year-old fashion designer was named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters at a ceremony in Paris on Monday (26.01.26) and paid tribute to her loved ones in their first joint public appearance since her eldest son Brooklyn, 26, issued an explosive Instagram post last week revealing that he has no wish to reconcile with his family amid their ongoing estrangement.

Victoria - who was accompanied in the French capital by her husband Sir David Beckham as well as sons Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14 - said in her acceptance speech: "I'd like to start by thanking the French Ministry of Culture and the Minister of Culture, Madame Rachida Dati. For this honour and for your kind words, I am extremely grateful.

"I am so proud to be British, but France is one of the few places where fashion is treated with the seriousness it deserves as a form of art."

The former Spice Girl issued a special thank you to the team at her Victoria Beckham fashion and makeup brand and also paid tribute to her parents and children.

Victoria said: "This is not the achievement of just one person. From design and the atelier, to the production and communication teams, and the many minds and hands working together - it is a collaborative effort, and this distinction isn't mine alone. So I'd like to thank my incredible team for their dedication, creativity and trust."

She added: "Thank you to my parents and to my children who are always believing in my vision."

Posh Spice also reserved special thanks for David, her husband of 26 years, as she took to Instagram after the ceremony.

Victoria wrote on the social media site: "I'm so honoured to be named a Chevalière de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture.

"I have always deeply admired the French aesthetic and the seriousness with which it treats fashion: as a form of art.

"So to be recognised here and embraced in this way, is a profound privilege - one that reflects decades of commitment and dedication. My sincere thanks to the French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati for this honour.

"Thank you also to my business partners who believed in me, my family, and especially David - my husband, and original investor. I couldn't be more grateful, you are my everything xx."
