Pharmac is proposing funding a dental treatment to halt tooth decay and reduce tooth sensitivity

The drug-buying agency says the liquid form of silver-diamine-fluoride is less painful and invasive than a filling.
It says it could be especially helpful for young and elderly patients who find some procedures challenging.
It would be available to those accessing Health NZ Community Oral Health and hospital dental services.
