Eddie Murphy's son and Martin Lawrence's daughter are expecting their first child together

Eric Murphy and Jasmin Lawrence, who got married last May, revealed that they are expecting their first baby together in an Instagram post on Monday (02.02.26).

In a black and white photo uploaded to the social media site, Jasmin, 30, can be seen wearing an off-the-shoulder dress that highlights her pregnant belly.

Eric, 36, has his head resting on Jasmin's stomach as he turns to face the camera.

The mother-to-be smiled down at her husband in one photo and was snapped standing by herself in others.

The couple wrote in their joint caption: "Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift."

Eddie confirmed last year that Eric had quietly married his Life co-star's daughter in a small church ceremony instead of having a lavish wedding.

The Beverly Hills Cop star told The Jennifer Hudson Show: "They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them."

Murphy explained that the couple "didn't have a wedding" but could have a larger celebration in the future.

The 64-year-old actor said: "They went off and got married at the church. They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing. So I think we'll have a big party or something."

Before the pair got engaged in 2024, the Trading Places star explained that he approved of his son's relationship - and quipped that he expected the couple's future child to "be funny".

In an interview with CBS Mornings, Eddie said: "They're both beautiful. They look amazing together. And it's funny (because) everyone (asks), 'What is the baby going to be funny?'"

He added: "Just our gene pool is going to make this funny baby. If they ever get married and have a child, I'm expecting the child to be funny."

Eric is the eldest of Eddie's 10 children and he claims that people should have as many kids as they can afford.

Asked about having lots of children, he told People magazine: "It just happened.

"I never knew I would have 10 kids, but now it's the best thing ever. If you can afford that many kids, you should have as many kids as you can afford. That is fun."
