Gone are the days of paying hundreds of dollars to remove a wheel clamp

Gone are the days of paying hundreds of dollars to remove a wheel clamp

Legislation which sets a cap of a hundred dollars on clamp removal has unanimously passed its final hurdle in parliament.

The bill's sponsor, Consumer Affairs Minister Kris Faafoi, said he introduced it after receiving complaints of people having to pay 7-hundred dollar fines on the spot to free their car.
