Kyle Jenkins' body was found in a creek beside State Highway 15, on Wednesday.

A 20-year-old man's been charged with murder using a firearm - and remanded in custody.

Police want to hear from anyone whoa saw the red car on Otaika Valley Road or Mangakahia Road last Tuesday night, between 8.15 and 9.15.

Police will have checkpoints in the area - and be canvassing asking for information.
