Lisa Rinna quit 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' because fans "villainised" her on social media

The 61-year-old actress-turned-reality TV star quit the Bravo series in 2023 and she's now dec lared she wants the show's devotees to "take responsibility" for her exit - insisting she walked away from the job because of the nasty comments she saw online

During an appearance on the 'Therapuss' podcast, Lisa explained: ""It got very difficult toward the end because of social media ...

"Everybody got really comfortable behind their computers, saying anything ... The fans were the ones that ran me off that show. It wasn't Bravo. It wasn't the girls [her co-stars]. It was the fan base ... they villainised me in a way that I just didn't want to live like that anymore. And that is the truth."

Lisa went on to reveal fans have since called for her to return to the show, but she's adamant it's their fault she left in the first place.

She added: "The fan base has to know that it's because of them that I left the show, and that's something that I don't think they want to take responsibility for. That's the truth. I left because the fan base turned on me..

"And listen, the fan base turns on everybody after a while. But this was a way that I was like: 'Life's too short, not doing to do this anymore. It was too much'."

Lisa went on to reveal she's still not speaking to her former 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' co-star Lisa Vanderpump - who left the show in 2019 - after a series of onscreen fall-outs and they ignore each other when they see each other out and about.

She said: "We end up at the same sushi restaurant up the [Beverly] Glen quite a bit. And nope, no words have been spoken ... "

When asked if there is "cold energy" between them, Lisa replied: "We just pretend that we're not there. She doesn't see me. I don't see her. It's hilarious because we both know we're there. I know she's there. She knows I'm there. It's hilarious."

Lisa has been keeping busy since her exit from 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' and previously revealed she feels as confident and as ambitious as she's ever been, in spite of her age.

She told PEOPLE: "I think I'm unstoppable. "I think I can do pretty much whatever I want to do. And I think everybody is unstoppable, and everyone can do what they want to do. You just got to believe it, manifest it and say, 'I'm going to do this'."
