Rieko Ioane will start on the wing for the All Blacks for the first time in three and a half years when the test season gets underway against France on Saturday night

Ioane has appeared in 65 tests in the 13 jersey but moves back to the left wing in Dunedin, for the first time since playing Wales in October 2021.

Coach Scott Robertson has plumped for Billy Proctor instead at centre, but says Ioane can own the wing role.



Christian Lio-Willie is one of four debutants - two starting, two coming off the bench and all forwards.

He's trying to stay calm wearing the number eight jersey in his adopted NPC home of Otago.
