A North Canterbury woman's described watching a man shoot her friend to death in her living room

A North Canterbury woman's described watching a man shoot her friend to death in her living room

Parts of Richard Leman's body were later found in a car at an abandoned Rangiora property on Tyler Street in 2023.

The Crown alleges Michael Scott Rodger shot Leman, then decapitated him after using methamphetamine.

Rodger has pleaded not guilty, claiming Sara Plimmer and Morgan 'Molly' Grant were responsible.

Grant, already convicted of cleaning up the scene and assisting Rodger, gave evidence yesterday.

She says the shooting was silent and only realized Leman was dead when his 'puffer jacket puffed out.'
