    Martin Lawrence's daughter has revealed the name of the baby she is expecting with Eddie Murphy's son

    Jasmin Lawrence, 30, who is married to Eric Murphy, 36, shared a series of posts on her Instagram Stories from her baby shower, and confirmed the couple are expecting a girl.


    In a video clip, she gently rubbed her stomach and said in an announcement of her unborn girl's name: "Ari Skye."

    She added: "Mommy loves you so much... my baby (pink heart emoji) Ari Sky Murphy (pink heart emoji.)"

    Jasmin and Eric, who married in May, first announced they were expecting their first child together on 2 February, posting a black-and-white photograph in which Jasmin wore an off-the-shoulder dress that highlighted her pregnancy.

    Eric rested his head on her stomach while facing the camera.

    In a joint caption online, they wrote: "Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift (three red heart emojis.)"

    Comedian Eddie Murphy confirmed in May his son and Jasmin had quietly married in an intimate church ceremony. Appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show in May, the actor said the wedding had taken place around "two weeks ago" and explained the couple had opted against a large celebration.

    He added: "They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them."

    Eddie joked his fellow comic and actor Martin would not have to pay for a "big wedding" - adding: "We're in-laws."

    He continued: "They went off and they got married at the church. They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing. So I think we'll have a big party or something."

    In November 2024, Eric proposed to Jasmin after more than three years together.

    The couple shared a video of the moment on Instagram, set to the song Spend My Life With You by Eric Benét.

    Footage of the event showed them entering a candlelit room decorated with roses and petals before Eric knelt down and opened a ring box.

    Jasmin responded: "It's beautiful! Oh my gosh," before saying "yes" and kissing her fiancé.

    Before their engagement, Eddie spoke about the relationship during an interview on CBS Mornings in July 2024.

    Speaking to Gayle King, he said he and his former Boomerang co-star Martin thought it was "cool" their children were together.

    He said: "They're both beautiful. They look amazing together."

    Eddie added: "Just our gene pool is going to make this funny baby.

    "If they ever get married and have a child, I'm expecting the child to be funny."
