Cody Simpson defends Justin Bieber following Orlando Bloom altercation

The 20-year-old singer had to dodge a punch from the 'Lord of the Rings' star at a party in Ibiza after reportedly making a reference to the actor's ex-wife Miranda Kerr - who he was romantically linked with during their marriage - but his pal insists his misdeeds can be put down to his youth

Speaking on Australia's 'The Morning Show', he said: "Obviously we're all young and he gets himself into some stuff sometimes.

"He's a person I'd go to for everything. He's like a big brother."

And despite the 'Believe' singer's controversial antics - which have also included numerous run-ins with neighbours over his wild partying - Cody insists he does a "lot of good" for people.

He said: "He has the world in his hands as he does a lot of good as well. I've got all good things to say."

Justin and Orlando got into a row at swanky Ibiza restaurant Cipriani after the 'Baby' singer reportedly told the actor, "Say hi to Miranda for me," prompting him to take a swing at the young star.

Miranda's lawyer previously said that rumours she cheated on Orlando - with whom she has three-year-old son Flynn - with the 'Confident' singer after the Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2012 were "false and defamatory."
