A man shot dead in his car in Auckland was a patched motorcycle gang member, Texas Jack Doctor

A man shot dead in his car in Auckland was a patched motorcycle gang member, Texas Jack Doctor

Gun shots were heard outside a business on Mount Wellington's Penrose Road on Saturday evening.

Police arrived, to find 22-year-old already dead.

No one's been arrested, but police believe the people involved knew each other.

Doctor was a Rebels gang member and involved in a brawl with Head Hunters in a mall last year.

He was also charged with shooting a man in Papatoetoe, in case later dismissed.
