Channel Infrastructure is hoping Marsden Point can be a long term energy precinct

Channel Infrastructure is hoping Marsden Point can be a long term energy precinct

It's presenting a livestream vision for the future of the former oil refinery site, about now.

Marsden Point closed two years ago.

The plan could see the site store fuels and manufacture sustainable energy sources, like aviation fuel and biofuels.

Other possibilities are helping with peak electricity generation, importing and exporting products like green hydrogen, and long term electricity storage.

Channel Infrastructure says not all the opportunities being considered will happen.
