Sixth seed Flavio Cobolli has retired in his first round match at the ASB tennis Classic in a shock start to day two

Cobolli lost the first set to qualifier and fellow Italian Luca Nardi 6-2 and pulled out at 1-all in the second set

Britain's Kiwi-raised Cam Norrie is due out next against Argentina's Facundo Diaz Acosta, before Gael Monfils plays in the third and final match of the day session.
